![]() Good block and starting with high health also helps. after that it was just don't die for a couple rounds.Ĭhapter 1 boss: ideally you have something that will deal damage to the boss on every turn like allies or at least some synergy that goes above dealing flat damage for x faeria. That was another run where I had the crit/double damage and bleed set up, I cant remember exactly but I feel like I hit the dissolve boss for around 170 and added 170 bleed stacks in the first round or 2. One run I got a pretty early Kappa Growth and the vast majority of my damage came from Equilibrium. If you get an early Triton Breeder you can go pretty big on frogs. Neither of them have a particularly easy way to regain health.Īurora is a pretty solid pick with anyone, I have had several runs where I barely pick any of her partners cards. I have beat e15 with all of the pairs several times, I think my least favorite is Sorocco/Sharra. Just smack them really hard on turn one and you just have to survive a few turns as the boss bleeds out.īoth of the boss's have mechanics that really break "fun" decks. Combined with the legendary item that makes your first hit do double damage or double damage gem its a pretty easy win on any boss. A good synergy you can get on any pair is first hit is critical with either the talent that gives 50% of the first hit damage is bleed, or the legendary gem that makes 100% of a cards damage add bleed stacks. Most of my E15 wins have probably been bleed decks. Daggers are good but don't go all-in because of the card-play limit. He's typically not so bad if your characters have a lot of personal strength and your deck is huge. In Legendary Bosses he dissolves your hand after you've played 8 cards so "infinite" decks don't work. Against Avatar of Mist you want a large deck with your power focused on "external" stuff and not specific cards. Cards that discard or dissolve other cards are good as well as cards that give energy discounts. Against Avatar of Greed you want a small deck of only powerful cards. Just like the Heart from Slay the Spire, what they do is very predictable and you need tools to counter them. You'll usually buy the 600g gems (+4 Spirit on certain Allies is crazy, or Double Damage on a card, or Half Damage as Bleed, etc.). Take the best facet of your deck and amplify it somehow. If you're spending most of your Energy on Block most turns, you will lose slowly (the main exception is if you have damage-per-turn effects like strong Allies or Bleed). Treasures that provide Block are typically pretty good. Reduce Power is great (against multi-attackers). Get things that scale with enemy strength: Protection is great. Straight Block cards (if you aren't Sorocco) are pretty weak in this game so you need to find some other ways to provide defense. Again, you have to be creative but there are a lot of options. I often have multiple Health Potions leftover going into Act II.īy the end of Act II you should have an idea of what your end-game synergy and scaling will be. I've found that the possibilities are wide open. Something like putting the Boomerang Gem on Rain of Fish (the card that increases the number of attacks each time it's drawn), or a +Damage gem on Thousand Cuts / Frenzy. Since your deck is small in this Act, spend your gold to beef up one card that will carry you through it, and be creative. The elites and bosses are all kill-or-be-killed and you'll lose less health if the fights are short. Like you said, everything is expensive and you need to be able to buy stuff. Don't underestimate the +Gold talents either. Fugaro's Hat is one of the best treasures in the game (but I'm not sure if I'd spend 400g on it.). Events are very strong and of course hitting Orbs of Faeria is mandatory. Don't touch Runes of Sight until you've revealed the towers or have no other choice. Try to reveal at least 12+ hexes with each brush use, but it's also better to use it to access a patch of stuff you know is there vs. This lets you use them more efficiently to reveal as much of the map as possible. I actually don't pick up Health Potions until I need them so that I can have a full inventory of inks. I've won Ep15 several times with multiple combinations of heroes.
